Y’all, I haven’t blogged in almost a year. Crazy! I wouldn’t say I missed the writing aspect of it, but I definitely missed how blogging connects me to people. People really do fascinate me; their lives and motivations and stories are all so unique, yet so similar and weave together in such intricate and unfathomable ways. Connecting with others truly enriches my life and what I have discovered is that vulnerability (through blogging in this case) often fosters connection. So I want to be wisely vulnerable on this blog in order to foster connections that might not be made otherwise. In light of that, I decided to put my name as the domain and the meaning of my full name as the tag line — “truth & grace.” So, welcome to allishaw.com where all the writing you see will hopefully be filled to the brim with “truth & grace.”
For those of you who followed my previous blog (mississippihaiku), you’ll find some of the same posts regarding abuse. I plan to write more on this subject, but for now, feel free to share with anyone and everyone who might be encouraged by them. ❤️
